There is no question that Suresh Kumar is one of the Most Powerful People in REM. His fingerprint can be found on almost every critical retail experience that we use today. 

Suresh is the EVP, Global CTO, and Chief Development Officer of Walmart. With over 25 years of technology leadership experience, Suresh has worked at some of the biggest names in tech, including Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and IBM.

As the global CTO of Walmart, Suresh sets the company's technical strategy, leveraging the latest advances in computing to deliver exceptional customer experiences. In his role as global CDO, Suresh leads the team responsible for digitally transforming Walmart's business operations and improving associate productivity by harnessing the scale and power of the company's data.

Suresh oversees Walmart's global shared services, cloud, data, infrastructure, and information security organizations. His team powers all of Walmart's global businesses, including Walmart U.S., Sam's Club, and Walmart International.

Prior to joining Walmart, Suresh was the vice president and general manager of display, video, app ads, and analytics at Google. He was responsible for Google's network advertising P&L and advertising revenue on Google Play Store, Gmail, and YouTube. Suresh led product and engineering teams for Google's ad network and all associated products, significantly reducing traffic acquisition and infrastructure costs while launching several product features.

Before Google, Suresh spent 15 years at Amazon in various leadership roles, including as vice president of technology for retail systems and operations. He helped automate Amazon's internal processes and managed the company's retail operations, including its massive selection. Prior to Amazon, Suresh worked as a research staff member at IBM Thomas J. Watson Research Center.

Suresh holds a PhD in engineering from Princeton University and a bachelor of technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. His expertise and leadership have had a significant impact on the tech industry, and his contributions to Walmart's success make him one of the most powerful people in the REM industry.
