Fidji Simo joined Instacart as CEO in August 2021 but has been a member of Instacart's Board of Directors since February 2021. She immediately made a significant impact on the company's operations and strategy. Today, Instacart partners with more than 1,100 national, regional, and local retail brands, including unique brand names, to deliver from more than 80,000 stores across more than 14,000 cities in the U.S. Simo also oversees the launch of a constant stream of new features and partnerships at Instacart. She continues to oversee massive growth with its ads business which has become a critical part of the Retail Media pie.

Prior to joining Instacart, Simo spent over a decade at Facebook, where she oversaw the development and strategy for the Facebook app, including News Feed, Stories, Groups, Video, Marketplace, Gaming, News, Dating, Ads, and more. Fidji Simo has 15 years of experience leading operations, strategy, and product development for some of the world’s leading businesses, making her a leading industry veteran. Her expertise in product development, operations, and strategy has been instrumental in driving growth and innovation in the consumer technology industry.

Aside from her work in the technology industry, Simo is also co-founder of Metrodora, a multidisciplinary medical clinic and research institute dedicated to the care and cure of neuroimmune conditions. She is a member of the Board of Directors at Shopify.
